The Calvert City Lions Club honored one of its members with a Finis Davis Fellowship. Robert Mobley (left in photo) was presented his award by Past District Governor Kevin Bishop (right in photo). This Fellowship was created to honor the memory of KY’s first and only President of Lions Club International. Finis Davis served as President of LCI in 1960-61 and then in 1967-68 he was President of the KY Lions Eye Foundation. He spearheaded the drive to raise the first two million dollars to build the KY Lions Eye Research Institute, which is now a world-class center.
These fellowships are awarded as a recognition for dedication and service provided by the recipients. Robert Mobley has been an active part of the Calvert City Lions Club’s since 1993 and we thank him for his service to the Calvert City community.
