KLEF Presents Commemorative Ring to Miss Kentucky Basketball

2nd Vice President Guy Hollander presented the commemorative ring to Miss Kentucky Basketball, Savannah Wheeler before the girls Kentucky All-Star Game on Friday, June 7th at Bellarmine University. Unfortunately the injured Mr. Basketball, Dontaie Allen, was unable to attend the All-Star games. His ring will be delivered to him at a later date. Savannah and Dontaie were announced as the winner of these awards and received their trophies at the 2019 Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball Awards Ceremony, presented by the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation in March. The Awards Ceremony annually celebrates the high school careers of the best basketball players throughout the state and is a fundraiser for the Kentucky

Lions Eye Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to provide vision services through education, detection, prevention, treatment and empowerment. Through collaborative partnerships, we enable greater independence and increased quality of life for all Kentuckians while focusing on children and adults in financial need. The Foundation has announced Mr. Kentucky Basketball since 1954 and Miss Kentucky Basketball since 1976. For more information contact KLEF at 502-583-0564 or go to www.kylionseye.org.
